My teachers have elected to take the whole ‘end with a bang’ and ‘finish strong’ things to heart this year, so a whole lot of my time is going to be devoted to school work for the next three weeks. I should be able to return the weekend of June 9th. Sorry for the inactivity! .A.
Eeheehee, evphpblegma omistthhh-thh-th-th.
…
I think we might need to work out a system of some sort. How are you holding out?

((Never. stop. writing.))
[;A; Omfg thank you!]
[But half of those ideas go to Midna’s player I can’t take credit.]
[Co-written/supervised by Midna.]
By the time the sun began to set, they were both tired, freezing, covered in snow, absolutely soaking wet, and sharing the mutual thought that this had been the most fun they’d had in a very long time.
In short, the Twilight Queen and the Chosen Hero had spent the greater part of the day locked in all-out snowball war. It had started simply enough, but things had been quick to go downhill.
((Guise…Guise…I’m in a bad mood…someone make me feel better? ;__;))
I’m sorry! .A. Here, have some crazyfreak to brighten your day.

Midna stared at the wooden doorway, long after it shut, and drummed her fingers against her arm. What in Goddess’ name…?
She had her suspicions—she always had her suspicions—but immediate tasks took precedence. Midna had a mere twelve hours following Midwinter to plan how…
“…No,” Midna replied after wracking her brain a spell. It wasn’t someone she knew…or, better put, no one she recognized…
But the language. Yes, that seemed familiar, like a tickle in her brain. Where had she heard that before? Midna knew herself well enough to know she wouldn’t find the answers here. She had plenty of time later—thanks to the creature’s ultimatum.
She nodded when Link voiced his opinion and stooped to gather some of the frozen ice and snow packed around her boots. With the snowfall, staying put had its disadvantages besides the cold. Now she was thankful for her shoes, at least.
Midna snorted when he straightened his scarf. Like that would matter here in a second. She only hoped…mildly, not seriously, it wouldn’t get in the way if he practiced his speed. Across the town, perhaps?
“Oh doesn’t it?” she grinned. By now she had rolled the stray ice, dappled with soot, into a heftier projectile.
“I suppose we’re still even, then.”
She stood straight and squinted her eyes.
“Never slow on your feet, you say?”
Midna tossed the snowball and caught it again deftly between her fingers.
“…Prove it!”
Link was on guard the moment he saw the snow she’d scooped away from her boots being formed into what looked to be another piece weaponry. The playfulness that Verein had chased away had started to return, and he surveyed both the Twili and her snowball, grinning.
The grin widened at her challenge, and, before she had an opportunity to follow through with her threat, he ducked sideways and rolled, catching a handfull of snow as he did so and coming back up to his knees a few paces away from where he’d previously been standing. It took him only a moment to mold his own snowball, which he brandished in one gloved hand as he locked eyes with the Twili Queen.
‘After you.’

Midna stared at the wooden doorway, long after it shut, and drummed her fingers against her arm. What in Goddess’ name…?
She had her suspicions—she always had her suspicions—but immediate tasks took precedence. Midna had a mere twelve hours following Midwinter to plan how she would bring the thing into the Twilight Realm.
…For now, however…
She finally turned toward Link and huffed.
“That was pleasant,” she said dryly.
Then she lifted a hand and began examining her cuticles.
“I’m SURE,” she went on, and eyebrows raised, “it was only the creatures’ appearance that kept you from dodging the snowball. You weren’t…too slow on your feet, or anything…”
Link forced himself to relax as the creature departed, lulling his racing mind into a more calm state before turning to face Midna.
He smiled slightly at her wry remark. ‘I take that’s not someone you know?’
He paused for a moment to survey the crowd. Confused voices had begun to fill the streets, and several of the citizens were looking around trying to find the source of Verein’s earlier announcements. An alarmed whisper off to one side wondered if there was going to be another attack, and several other hushed voices seemed to take up the concern. None of them seemed willing to leave the city, however. Not on such a sacred day.
‘It seemed … familiar,’ he said after a moment. ‘But I still can’t place it.’
He blinked at her next comment, then sniffed indignantly, straightening his scarf. ‘Of course not! You know me, Midna. I am many things, but never would I be slow on my feet.’ He brushed the remainder of the snow out of his hair and tugged at his gloves, a slight grin tugging at his lips. ‘And as such, that last shot doesn’t count. Just in case you were wondering.’
